I can’t believe that summer is nearly gone. A part of me isn’t ready for it to end. I haven’t had enough time to pick my precious summer berries, bask in the warm summer sun, or feel the summer grass on my feet. Yet another part of me is ready to move forward, put the finishing touches on the stack of projects that I’ve been feverishly working on all summer, and start anew as Fall emerges.
I apologize for being MIA. I certainly hadn’t planned for it to happen, but between running the food cart 7 days a week this summer, finishing the cookbook, and preparing my new gluten-free mixes for market, everything else went by the wayside. There were also a bunch of videos to film for the new pizza book, and my daughter graduated from college, after spending the summer studying design in Denmark. I was completely engulfed. It was crazy with a capital C. I’m a bit bleary-eyed, but I am no worse for wear. The book will be finished in the next two weeks, the website for the mixes is almost complete (along with a web-store), and my pizza book is almost ready to debut. I am so excited to see everything come together, and to be able to share it. And I’m thrilled to start blogging again. I have missed you dear friends!
I still have some review/giveaways to do, which is great since Vegan Mofo is happening in September this year. So crazy! But it’s a great way for me to jump back into blogging with both feet. I can’t wait!
I hope that you’ve had an amazing summer while I’ve been away. I’d love to hear what you did, or places you visited and delicious foods you enjoyed.
p.s. The pizza photo above is from my new book Vegan Pizza. It’s the Bibimbop pizza made with the Easy Peasy Dough.

i just ORDERED your new pizza book from bn.com, it seems it was released a bit earlier than expected so i’m really excited about that! it’s still in pre-order status on amazon.com
i’m not ready for summer to end either. we had cooler weather than usual this summer down here in georgia, so it doesn’t really feel like summer happened yet!
best of luck with all the stuff you got going on! what’s the details with your new casserole book? theme? i look forward to seeing more blog posts from you 🙂

I’m feeling exactly the same about summer almost being over, by the time I get back from my trip to San Francisco it will be well and truly wintery back home! I’m excited that I finally managed to visit Portland and your food cart this summer and I can’t wait to get my hands on your pizza cookbook.
