One Dough: Three Buns

This workshop will focus on one simple bun recipe, made with Julie’s tried and true GF bread flour blend (which we’ll make together in class). Then we’ll go over how to create a perfect soft gluten-free + vegan burger/sandwich bun. From there Julie will share how to switch up the recipe to make different flavors of buns, so you can learn how to adapt the burger bun recipe to create other variations, like onion + dill, rosemary + garlic, and cinnamon brown sugar swirl with apples or raisins (and a vanilla glaze). You will become a confident gluten-free bun maker with this class, and get comfortable with all the nuances of GF dough and bun making.
Julie has been a professional chef and baker for 30 years, and has written 9 cookbooks (including Vegan Pizza!). She has taught cooking and baking workshops from Sur La Table (and other cooking stores), to private and celebrity clients, and corporations like Apple, Nike and Columbia Sportswear. Julie also appears monthly on AM Northwest, cooking up healthy and delicious recipes.
Cook along with Julie in your own kitchen. This class will take place live via Zoom. It will also be recorded and you can watch it whenever you like (and as many times as you like). All participants will receive a Zoom video link before the workshop.
