I wanted to share a picture of one of my new favorite pies. It’s from my upcoming cookbook, Vegan Diner. There’s just something so special about a home-made pie, no matter if it’s cherry, berry, apple or chocolate. Pies rule!
I’m wondering if pies are a part of your holiday traditions, and if so, what’s your fave? Do they change from year to year, or do you follow an old family recipe? I usually make a couple of pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving, along with some sort of a berry crisp. This year I’m thinking of mixing it up, but haven’t decided for sure.

Neither my mom or I know how to make (or are patient enough to make) pie crust, so all our pies need to work with a graham cracker base. It’s usually a PB-chocolate combo. Your pie looks amazing!

Oh, so THIS is why your new book is on my wish list. I knew there had to be a reason!
I tend to make pies up as I go along, and they usually work!

I just added this to my wishlist! That pie looks amazing! Diner anything is amazing!
My favorite pies are probably the hardest to veganize: lemon meringue and pecan. I still have never found a recipe that even compares to the pecan pie I used to eat. I’ve found really good lemon filling but nothing spectacular in the way of toppings.
So usually for the holidays I make pumpkin cheesecake. I like it far better than pumpkin pie and there are so many really good recipes for it. This year I’m definitely making Isa’s Triple Apple Cider Bundt Cake.

I love pies so much I’m making a recipe zine dedicated to them! This one looks so amazing.

There’s just something about diner food that you can’t get anywhere else. This pie looks absolutely perfect, I’ll have to pick up a copy of your book!
