There’s been so much going on lately, I haven’t had a moment in front of my computer to blog. It’s been all good stuff. Just the normal day to day craziness that comes along with running a food cart, being a mom, and the other million and one things people typically squeeze into a day. Hopefully things will begin to slow down a touch, because I really miss weekly blogging. I also miss sitting down with a big cup of tea in the evenings, and catching up on my favorite blogs and all of the cool things that everyone’s up to.
The link above is to a TV segment that I did on Monday morning. I tried to post the video, but for some reason it didn’t work (anyone know how I do this?). The BBQ sauce is a recipe from Vegan Diner, which is super delicious, and very easy-to-make. You can find the recipe in the book and here.
I hope that everyone had a fabulous summer! I can’t believe that it’s over already. My son goes back to school tomorrow and my daughter soon after that. I’m just not ready for it to end yet, but the calender says it’s so. I guess it’s almost time to think about apples and cider and pumpkins and falling leaves, but I’ve got sangria and BBQ’s on my brain.

I’m not ready for fall, either! My tomatoes are just starting to ripen and that sangria you mentioned sounds refreshing and delicious.
BTW, I’m so glad I got to meet you at VVC!

Dear Julie,
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Vegan Diner!!!! I bought it on a whim at the store I work at (Friendliest store in town) and I have used it so many times in the past few months.
Orange Cornmeal Waffles, Veggie Dumplings, Ice Cream!!! and of course the Oooey Goooey Brownies.
I’m addicted to cookbooks but usually I only use a recipe once or twice. Yours… that’s just not the case. Not a week goes by that someone asks me to make something from your cookbook.
After I recover a bit more from my surgery, I’m hoping to take my bike out (with my husband as a handy lookout) and ride to your food cart. Never been to it before but I can’t wait to try it out.
thank you so much for your incredible recipes. Everything I’ve tried so far as been a “keepah”.

Thanks Janet! I am so happy that you love Vegan Diner! I’m glad to know that New Season’s carries it too, because I haven’t seen it at any of their stores yet. I love that it’s a “keepah”
Have a speedy recovery!
Julie
