Every year I pick some of my favorite gifts for cooks, and share them on TV. This year is no exception, and I’m so excited to share them with you! I filmed my picks live on this very cold and snowy morning in Portland on AM Northwest. Here is the link to the video so you can watch it too http://katu.com/amnw/lifestyle-health/great-gifts-for-the-kitchen. Now for the list of this year’s favorites…
Julie’s Holiday Gift Guide For Cooks (or yourself!)
Lodge: Wedge pan and Cornstick pan. My favorite cast iron maker, and they forge it all in Tennessee! The wedge pan is perfect for scones and biscuits, and the Cornstick pan makes the cutest cornbread!
Moccamaster: One of the best coffee makers on the market! They are handmade in the Netherlands, and brews your coffee in only 5-6 minutes. Thanks to a special copper heating element, it keeps the water temperature at 195°–205°F throughout brewing for optimum flavor and less bitterness. Did I mention that it comes in a rainbow of colors, including the gorgeous turquoise above?
KitchenAid Pro-Line Commercial-Style Blender: The most powerful home blender on the market, a 3.5 peak horsepower motor, 3 cycle presets (Adapti-Blend) for smoothies, juices and soups, a Thermal Control Jar that lets you heat soups and sauces fast and a 10 year warranty!
Kitchen Aid 3.5 Cup Mini Food Processor: Perfect for making small batches of dressings or sauces, or chopping herbs, hummus and salsas. They also come in some really fun colors!
Red and White Kitchen Company: Adorable vintage-inspired tablecloths and linens. Some of my favorite tablecloths, all 100% cotton!
Robot Coup Blixer. The one piece of restaurant equipment that you need in your home kitchen! A perfect for someone who wants to start a small food business, this is the perfect machine for making amazing artisan nut butters, sauces and more!
GoWise USA: Red 3.7 quart Air Fryer. A healthy way to make all of your favorite fried dishes. I use mine everyday!
Now Designs: Cake Pedestal, tea tins and colorful dotty ramekins, all with a fun vintage twist in lots of cool colors!
Bob’s Red Mill Flours and Mixes: A perfect gift for those that love to bake. Make your own gift basket and fill with the makings of your favorite recipe!
Nielsen-Massey Vanilla and Extracts: Pure vanillas and extracts, which make an awesome gift for cooks and bakers!
Happy Holidays!

Thanks for sharing your gift list. I always look forward to it. What do you make in your air fryer? I’m curious about air fryers, but as a vegan I’m not sure there is enough to make in them. I’d love to hear your ideas.

Hi Gretchen! I use my air fryer ever day, and make all sorts of things in it. Some of the regular are different flavored fries, buffalo Soy Curls and cauliflower, crispy spring rolls, roasted vegetables, air-fried tofu, shishito peppers… It’s really endless. My friend Tess Challis and I are working on a vegan air fryer ebook.
